Invisible Ceramic Braces – Houston | 77090
North Houston Invisible (Ceramic) Braces
Do you want straighter teeth, but for one reason or another don’t qualify for Invisalign? North Houston Dentistry has a cosmetic braces option to consider; ceramic orthodontics.
With ceramic braces, you can enjoy the accuracy of conventional orthodontics without the appearance of metal brackets. Instead, Dr. Bastani uses tooth-colored appliances that are less noticeable against your teeth. In fact, most people won’t be able to tell that you have braces on during a casual social encounter.
Why Ceramic Braces?
White cosmetic braces are great for situations involving more moderate to severe tooth misalignment, such as:
- Gaps between teeth
- Significant crowding or spacing issues
- Teeth that are not fully erupted
- Overbites, underbites, overjets and underjets
- Managing space in areas of missing teeth
- Discreet alternative to metal braces
- TMJ disorder (TMD)
What to Expect During Treatment
When you’re a ceramic braces patient at North Houston Dentistry, Dr. Bastani will need to see you about every six weeks to make minor adjustments to your appliances, thus progressing your tooth movement. Everyone’s situation is different, so the length of your case will vary. Fortunately, we can give you an estimated duration at the time of your initial consultation.
Convenient for Our Patients
When you choose North Houston Dentistry for your orthodontic treatment, you have access to convenient and comprehensive oral care in one location. As a full-service general and family practice, Dr. Bastani is able to provide a wide range of therapies for everyone in your household. Getting braces shouldn’t be any different!
“Do You Offer Traditional Braces?”
Yes! Our practice also offers conventional orthodontics for adults and teens in North Houston. Traditional braces are great for children and teens, but some of our adult patients prefer them as well! They’re slightly more affordable than ceramic appliances, but only by a small amount.
We recommend that all children have an orthodontic evaluation by age 7. At this point in oral development, your child will have a combination of primary (baby) and permanent (adult) teeth, giving us a preview as to what their future oral development will look like.
Cleaning Your Orthodontic Appliances
Wearing fixed braces takes a bit more time when it comes to keeping them clean each day. Investing in an electric toothbrush is ideal, as you’ll want to spend more time brushing around each bracket (especially between the bracket and your gums) to avoid unsightly “white circles” when your braces come off.
Flossing will need to be a daily habit. If you’re uncomfortable using a floss threader, consider using a water flosser instead. Most water flossers have adjustable heads or water pressure, giving you a comfortable and thorough clean.
Paying for Braces
Some people have orthodontic benefits covered under their dental insurance. Our North Houston dentist accepts all major PPO plans, including Medicaid and CHIP. But if you don’t have coverage, you can easily budget your braces into a monthly payment option, thanks to flexible 0% financing options.
