Our rule
Nobody here is going to sell you a smile makeover.
Cosmetic dentistry has a reputation, and honestly, it has earned it. You have seen the ads promising a total transformation, and you have heard the five-figure numbers that come with them. Our rule is simpler. If a treatment will not change how you feel about your smile, we will say so. If a smaller one gets you most of the way, we will start there.

The practical menu
Three treatments handle most of what people come in for.
Most smiles people want to improve need one of these. A full set of new teeth is rarely the answer. The consultation tells us which one fits, and we will tell you honestly if it is not worth doing at all.
Professional teeth whitening
In-office whitening that lifts years of coffee and tea staining in a single visit. Nothing is taken off the tooth.

Tooth-colored resin shaped onto a chipped or gapped front tooth in one visit. Nothing is drilled away, and it can be reshaped later.

Custom shells for teeth that are worn or cracked, which we plan and fit as a set. We will tell you if you do not need them.

The main decision
What bonding and veneers do to the tooth underneath.
This is the one place where the gentler option and the cheaper one are the same choice.
Veneers are not a bad treatment. For badly worn or cracked teeth they are often the right one, and a good set holds for a long time. The problem comes when they are the first thing offered for something a small addition could have handled. If you are a candidate for either, we will tell you that and let you choose.
Composite bonding
We shape resin onto the tooth and polish it, and no enamel comes off. Usually one visit, and we can reshape or undo it later.
Porcelain veneers
We bond a thin custom shell over the front surface, and almost always a small layer of enamel comes off first. Typically two or three visits. It is not reversible.

Most people pay for cosmetic work out of pocket, and you should know that before you schedule rather than after. Most PPO plans still cover your exams and cleanings, and that often changes the picture. We run your benefits for free before your appointment, so you can plan around a real number instead of a guess.

No. Professional whitening uses a peroxide gel on the surface of the tooth, and your enamel stays intact. Teeth can feel sensitive for a day or two, and that usually settles on its own.
Usually, yes. We shape and harden the resin in the chair, so we often finish a single chipped or gapped tooth the same day you come in.
Bring the quote and let us look together. Sometimes that recommendation is right. Sometimes a smaller treatment gets you most of the way and keeps more of your tooth.
We accept most major PPO plans, Medicaid, CHIP, and eligible DentaQuest plans, and we will tell you plainly which parts of a treatment those plans cover.
